Phinisi Boat For Sale

The Only Relationships We Will Name Are Our Own

This page used to list twenty-two organisations as partners — hotel groups, conservation NGOs, government directorates. It now lists the brands inside our own group, and the bodies whose standards our vessels are actually held to. That is a shorter page and a truer one.

Quick answer

We name the brands inside our own holding group and the standards our vessels are classified against. We do not claim partnerships with organisations that have not agreed to be named.

  • Group brands are verifiable — you can charter with them this week.
  • BKI classification is a fact about a hull, not a relationship we assert.
  • Any membership we hold can be evidenced with a number rather than a logo.

Why twenty-two names came off this page

The previous version listed Aman, Alila, Nihi Sumba, Four Seasons and a Ritz-Carlton Reserve as hospitality partners; WWF Indonesia, The Nature Conservancy, Conservation International, the Komodo Survival Program, Manta Trust and YKL Indonesia as conservation partners it "actively supports and consults with"; and Kemenparekraf, the Directorate General of Sea Transportation, ASITA, INSA and BKI as bodies it holds "active memberships" with. None of it was sourced. Naming a conservation NGO or a government directorate as a partner without its agreement is a misrepresentation of that organisation, not just of us — which is why the list is gone rather than softened.

The group

Five Brands, One Holding Company

These are relationships we can evidence because we are them. The brokerage book on this site is drawn from the fleet the first of them operates.

Charter fleet

Komodo Luxury

Operates the managed phinisi fleet and the sale desk this site’s book comes from. Every vessel listed here is drawn from the same shipyards and operating fleet the group charters weekly — which is why each listing arrives with survey records, refit invoices and crew notes.

Tour operations

Indonesia Juara Trip & Bali Premium Trip

The group’s tour-operating brands. Relevant here because they are where the ground logistics come from — transfers, domestic flights, and the arrangements around a yard visit or an inspection trip.

Land hospitality

Bali Premium Villa

The land-based side. Relevant to buyers pairing a vessel with a villa, and to hospitality groups looking at a phinisi as a floating extension of an existing property.

Standards, not partnerships

What Our Vessels Are Actually Held To

These are not relationships we claim. They are requirements a hull either meets or does not, and each is evidenced by a document you can ask to see.

  • Verified

    BKI classification

Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia, the Indonesian classification society. The group’s new builds are BKI-classified before delivery, and class status is one of the four things that set a phinisi’s price.

    Per vessel · certificate

  • Conditional

    SOLAS compliance

The applicable requirements of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, where the vessel type and voyage regime call for them.

    Per vessel type and route

  • Verified

    Independent survey

Marine survey, sea trial and document audit — conditions of sale in the standard contract rather than optional extras. The surveyor is appointed by the buyer.

    Every transaction

  • Verified

    Flag-state approvals

Vessel nationality, tonnage and safety certification under the Indonesian flag, issued by the Ministry of Transportation.

    Per vessel · certificate

  • Ask

    Our own registrations

The Indonesian entity, its registration number, and any tourism or maritime licence it holds. We would rather give you a number to check than a logo to trust.

    On request

  • Ask

    Any industry membership

The site footer carries one membership claim inherited from the previous build and not independently verified. Ask for the certificate rather than taking the line.

    On request

A standard is checkable on the vessel. A partnership is only checkable by asking the other party — which is why this page now deals in the first and not the second.

Two kinds of claim

What We Will and Will Not Say

The distinction is whether a reader can check it without taking our word for it.

We will say

This hull is BKI-classified
Because there is a certificate, and you can ask for it.
This vessel comes from our own fleet
Because you can charter it, and the crew notes come with the listing.
These are our group brands
Because we are them, and their sites are public.
Survey is a condition of sale
Because it is written into the contract you will sign.

We will not say

That a conservation NGO is our partner
Not without its written agreement. Borrowing an environmental organisation’s credibility is the claim we are least willing to make.
That a government body endorses us
A ministry issues licences; it does not partner with brokerages. Presenting a regulator as an affiliate misleads about both.
That a hotel group is affiliated with us
Aman and Four Seasons operate their own vessels. Listing them implied a relationship that would need their sign-off.
That we hold a membership we cannot evidence
A membership is a certificate with a number. If we cannot show you one, the claim comes off the page.

Registration numbers, class certificates, survey reports, crew notes. A brokerage worth using can produce documents rather than logos, and this is the page where we invite you to test that.
